Mayor Greenberg announces Louisville Zoo nominations in USA TODAY’s“10Best Readers’ Choice Awards” for Best Zoo and Best Zoo Membership

Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg is proud to announce the Louisville Zoo has been nominated for two awards as part of USA Today’s “10Best Readers’ Choice Awards” program. The Zoo is nominated as “Best Zoo” and for “Best Zoo Membership.”
“Louisville is fortunate to have an amazing zoo, and our community knows it!” said Mayor Greenberg. “I encourage everyone to vote early and vote often to help get our Louisville Zoo the recognition it deserves.”
Voting begins today and continues through Monday, March 9 at 11:59 a.m. EST. The rules allow the public to vote online for one nominee per category, per day. This is the third consecutive year the Zoo has been nominated for “Best Zoo”, along with a top-ten finish for “Best Zoo Exhibit” for Glacier Run in 2024, and a sixth-place finish for “Best Zoo Membership” in 2025.

The USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards highlight top-notch attractions and businesses, providing readers with trusted recommendations. Nominees for all categories are chosen by a panel of relevant experts which include a combination of editors from USA TODAY, editors from 10Best.com, relevant expert contributors, and sources for both these media and other Gannett properties.
Other nominees this year include the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, Bronx Zoo in New York, San Diego Zoo in California and Cincinnati Zoo in Ohio.

Kiva uutinen tästä eläintarhasta! Ollaan vaimon kanssa mietitty ensi kesän reissukohdetta ja Louisville näyttää kyllä hyvältä vaihtoehdolta, varsinkin jos lapset pääsee näkemään noin hienoja juttuja. Rehellisesti sanottuna budjetti on vaan vähän tiukilla tällä hetkellä, joten tässä on tullut kokeiltua onnea vähän joka suunnassa... 😅
Eilenkin illalla selasin puhelimella jotain uutisia ja päädyin taas katsomaan, josko se lauantain arvonta olisi vihdoin osunut kohdalle. Itse käytän yleensä sivustoa lottosuomi, kun sieltä näkee ne tulokset ja lisänumerot jotenkin selkeämmin ilman turhaa säätöä. En mä vieläkään mitään jättipottia voittanut (tietenkin!), mutta ehkä tässä vielä joku päivä tärppää ja päästään tuonne jenkkeihin asti. Onko kukaan täältä käynyt tuolla eläintarhassa, onko se jonottamisen arvoinen?
