Twilight in the Garden Blooms Again at Yew Dell Botanical Gardens on Sept 18
Press Release: Yew Dell

Annual fundraiser features fine dining, live orchestra performances and butterfly release
Yew Dell Botanical Gardens, an internationally recognized garden and education center, will once again host its signature Twilight in the Garden fundraiser on Friday, September 18. The evening will feature a four-course dinner prepared by Chef Josh Moore of Volare Italian Ristorante.
Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while exploring the gardens, live music performed by students from the University of Louisville Orchestra and a special butterfly release presented by Idlewild Butterfly Farm. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on upscale experiences, elevated dining packages, travel opportunities and other unique items during the event’s live and silent auctions.
“Twilight in the Garden reflects the spirit of Yew Dell – welcoming, inspiring and rooted in community,” said Executive Director Paul Cappiello. “It’s a chance to celebrate everything that makes this place special while helping ensure it continues to grow and thrive for generations to come.”
All proceeds support Yew Dell’s mission to spark a passion for plants and gardening through accessible science and inspiring beauty. Funds raised directly benefit the maintenance and expansion of the gardens, educational workshops and community programming, as well as ongoing horticultural research and plant conservation efforts.
“Twilight in the Garden is one of the most meaningful nights of the year at Yew Dell because it brings together so many people who care deeply about community, creativity and the power of nature to inspire,” said Stacy Gordon-Funk, director of Philanthropy & External Affairs. “Every guest, sponsor and donor helps us continue creating experiences that connect people with plants, gardening and the beauty of the natural world.”
Tickets: Seating is extremely limited. To inquire about availability, please contact Stacy Gordon-Funk directly at stacyg@yewdellgardens.org
