American Red Cross and Louisville Ballet Partner for Community Blood Drive

The American Red Cross, in partnership with Louisville Ballet, invites the community to give the gift of life at a special blood drive on Friday, October 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The blood drive will be held at Louisville Ballet, supporting both the Red Cross mission and the Ballet’s upcoming production of Dracula.

“Donating blood is one of the simplest ways to care for our neighbors. Together, these acts of kindness ensure no patient faces their hardest day without the support of their community,” said Eric Holden,regional executive, Donor Services of American Red Cross Kentucky Region.

Donors of all blood types are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance, though walk-ins will be welcome as space allows. To sign up, visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter the sponsor code LOUBALLET or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to schedule an appointment. The first 25 donors to schedule an appointment to give blood on October 3 will receive two complimentary tickets to Dracula.

This collaborative blood drive comes just a week before Louisville Ballet brings its hauntingly beautiful production of Dracula to the Brown Theatre on October 10 and 11.
