White Picket Real Estate: A Louisville Brokerage Built Around Community

When Kyle Elmore entered the Louisville real estate industry in 2015, he saw an opportunity to create a new kind of real estate experience. After several years in the business, he launched White Picket Real Estate in 2020 with a vision for a locally founded, independent brokerage centered on relationships, expertise, and community involvement.

“When I founded White Picket in 2015, I saw an opportunity to create a Louisville-based brokerage that combined high-level professionalism with a more personal, community-centered approach,” Elmore says. “Real estate is one of the most important decisions people make, yet too often the experience feels transactional.”

White Picket was created with Louisville at its heart and core. Rather than immediately expanding into multiple markets, Elmore focused on building a company that understood the city’s neighborhoods, culture, and people. That local knowledge remains one of the brokerage’s defining qualities.

“Louisville has always been at the heart of who we are and always will be,” Elmore says. “Every neighborhood in Louisville has its own personality, history, and sense of place.”

That philosophy impacts the way White Picket guides clients through the home buying and selling process. Whether someone is attracted to the historic character of the Highlands, the family-oriented neighborhoods of the East End, or downtown living, the team understands that choosing a home often means choosing a lifestyle and a community.

Elmore’s background in communications, government relations, and startup finance helped establish the culture and strategy behind White Picket. Those experiences emphasized the importance of relationships, strategic planning, adaptability, and responsible growth. Today, the brokerage continues to prioritize transparency, collaboration, and personalized service.

The early years of building the company came with challenges, particularly as a newer face in a competitive Louisville real estate market.

“The real estate industry is highly competitive, and as an outsider who was not born and raised in Louisville, I had to prove that I could deliver results while maintaining an exceptional client experience,” Elmore says.

Over time, White Picket grew through strong client relationships, referrals, and a commitment to its values. There was no single moment when Elmore felt the company had outgrown its startup roots. Instead, growth came through a series of achievements that confirmed the company’s direction.

“What has been most rewarding is that even as we've grown, we've maintained the culture and values that helped us connect with the city and succeed in the first place,” he says.

Community involvement remains an important part of White Picket’s identity. The brokerage encourages each agent to support a locally run charity that aligns with their own passions and mission, reflecting the company’s commitment to strengthening Louisville beyond real estate transactions.

Looking toward the future, White Picket plans to continue growing while protecting the personal approach that helped establish its reputation.

“We are proud to be locally founded and operated as an independent, boutique brokerage and not some corporate conglomerate and we will always remain true to that vision,” Elmore says.

As Louisville continues to evolve, White Picket’s mission remains focused on helping clients find their place in a city that values connection, neighborhood pride, and community.
