Party with the Animals! Mayor Greenberg and the Louisville Zoo invite you to celebrate the August Birthday Bash

Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg and the Louisville Zoo invite families to celebrate some of the Zoo’s most beloved animal residents with August birthdays on Saturday, August 29, 2026. This month’s celebration features two of last year’s popular animal babies: both Masai giraffe Nyasi and Colobus monkey Kayin George.

 

Watch as these birthday stars enjoy species-specific custom enrichment treats designed just for them. Plus, guests may enjoy special keeper talks that reveal fascinating animal stories and care insights. (Subject to change for weather and animal schedules)

Zoo Hours

The Zoo is open daily year-round. Now through September 20, 2026, hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with guests exiting by 6 p.m. The Zoo is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. Visit louisvillezoo.org for more information on hours and admission.
