In Loving Memory of “Big Dad” Clyde Franklin Ensor, Jr

February 8, 2025 


Clyde Franklin Ensor, Jr., Age 81 of Shelby County passed away peacefully onFebruary 8th, 2025, under the loving care of Dr. Paul Loheide and thewonderful nurses at Baptist Health.


He is survived by his wife, Debra, children Clyde Franklin Ensor III (Julie), Howard Ensor (Whitney), Stephanie Smith (Greg), Jeff Chaney (Katie), and Jon Chaney(Carisa) and grandchildren Annabelle Ensor Klein (Max), Sarabeth, Katie, and Molly Ensor, Michael, Parker and Jack Griffin, Howard II and Jay Ensor, Caroline Chaney, Treye and Jennifer Chaney. He is also survived by his brother Larry Ensor (Lina).


Franklin’s love shone through his life in every way, and everyone who met Franklin loved Franklin. His deep and unfailing faith in God made the world a better place through his acts of kindness and his loving and generous spirit. He was an avidhunter and fisherman who enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with as manypeople as possible. He never met a stranger.


Visitation was held Thursday February 13, 2025, at Pearson’s, 149 Breckenridge Lane in Louisville, with a private graveside service for immediate family as he wished.
