ROOTING FOR ROBERT

The fifth annual Rooting for Robert event was held at the Mellwood Art Center by the 501(c)3 “A Cure for Robert”. In April 2018, the Vice family had their world shaken when their two year old son, Robert, was diagnosed with Morquio Syndrome, a degenerative disease with a shortened life expectancy. The family then began the journey of getting in touch with world leading specialists, finding community from other Morquio families, expanding what medical care is available to Robert and raising money to fund research that will lead to a cure. The event featured cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, keynote speech from Dr. Shunji Tomatsu, live auction and dinner.
