PHILIPPINES INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Crane House celebrated the inaugural Philippines Independence Day at Fourth Street Live!, honoring Executive Director Joel Buno’s Filipino heritage and highlighting local entrepreneurs of Philippine descent. The celebration featured traditional Filipino dance by Cultura Philippines, culinary demonstrations by Chef Nokee Bucayu, live performances by local Asian artists, and food from Filipino vendors like Mak-Mak’s BBQ, My Tindahan, and Ala Eh Eats. Sponsored by Louisville Downtown Partnership, with support from South Arts and the Kentucky Arts Council, the event celebrated cultural pride and education through performances, crafts, and heritage booths.
