The 2026 Great Steamboat Race on the Ohio River took place on April 29 as part of the Kentucky Derby Festival, featuring a spirited matchup between the Belle of Louisville and the Belle of Cincinnati. Although the Belle of Cincinnati initially crossed the finish line first, controversy arose after its captain alleged interference early in the race. After review, judges ultimately awarded the victory to the Belle of Louisville, which was determined to have navigated a longer course following a restart, securing its 32nd Silver Antlers trophy.
