ELMER LUCILLE ALLEN WHISKEY RELEASE

Old Forester announced a special single barrel whiskey release honoring Elmer Lucille Allen, the first African American chemist at Brown-Forman and a trailblazer in the bourbon industry. The commemorative bottle celebrated Allen’s remarkable career, her pioneering scientific work, and her enduring contributions to diversity and innovation within spirits. The Old Forester Distillery hosted a bottle signing and reception with Allen herself. Attendees had the chance to meet the 94-year-old chemist, learn about her groundbreaking career, and purchase the limited-edition single barrel release—available exclusively at the distillery.
