Local notables teamed up with Paralympic athletes for the celebrity wheelchair basketball game hosted April 18 at the Kentucky Expo Center.
A heat wave is sweeping the nation, with record-breaking, triple-digit temperatures in the central and eastern portions of the U.S., and heat indices as high as 115 degrees. Here in Louisville, we’re at the center of the chaos, having been plagued by a string of excessive heat advisories and warnings, along with unbearable humidity unlike any we’ve experienced before.
Ray Chappell – and his ever-present smile – have been a fixture around the WAVE 3 studios for more than 34 years. He’s spent most of that time behind the camera, though regular viewers will recognize him for his participation in a segment called “Hey Ray, What’s For Lunch?” which now airs on the station’s 12:30 p.m. weekday talk show “725 S. Floyd,” hosted by John Ramsey.
