Across the finish line
With weeks of festivities that lead our city to the biggest day in horse racing, it just seems a little unfair that it’s all over in a mere two minutes. Early Derby morning sunshine gave way to overcast skies Saturday afternoon at Churchill Downs, but it’s hardly enough to put a damper on the massive crowd that made its way out to Central Avenue.
Derby Festival starts with a bang
What better way to kick off the Derby Festival than with the nation’s largest fireworks show? The air show is one of the tops in the county too! What started as a so-so fireworks display has become the pinnacle of pyrotechnics.
