A variety of classes are available and all take place in the St. Matthews studios located at 4121 Shelbyville Road. Summer dance programs fill up quickly. Early enrollment is encouraged to reserve your child’s place.

Movement and Make Believe
Children (ages 3-5) will discover an exciting mix of creative dance, visual arts, and storytelling through movement – all inspired by the wonderful world around us. Daily dance classes help develop loco-motor and basic movement skills, as well as social skills and imagination. Weekly themes include Sunshine and Songbirds, Dancing Dukes and Damsels, Under The Sea, Skippin’ Safari and Oh, the places you’ll dance! Classes meet daily Monday through Friday for two hours each day. Morning and afternoon sessions are available.
Children (ages 6-8) will explore a blend of creative dance and pre-ballet exercises along with visual art projects to discover the art of storytelling through dance while sharing in the traditions of the full-length classical ballets. Daily classes introduce French terminology and basic ballet positions to help develop balance, body alignment, flexibility, and core strength. Weekly themes will include familiar stories like Peter Pan, Swan Lake, Hansel and Gretel, and The Nutcracker among many others. Classes meet daily Monday through Friday for three-and-a-half hours each day. Morning and afternoon sessions are available.
Dance Discovery Workshop
Children (ages 8-13) with previous dance experience are invited to discover the art of storytelling through movement while learning traditional folk dances and repertoire from full-length classical ballets. Instructors nurture the students’ love for dance as they further develop their skills and appreciation for ballet and explore new dance styles including modern, character dance, Flamenco, and Pilates. Choose either the two-week session or consider taking all four weeks at a discounted rate. Classes meet daily Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Young Dancer Intensive Workshop
Dancers (ages 11-16) with previous dance training are invited to an exciting two-week session of dance where they’ll learn more about the career of a professional dancer. Students will join in the grand tradition of classical ballet repertoire by learning dances that have been performed by professional ballet dancers for hundreds of years. Students also explore contemporary dance styles that enhance strength and versatility. Daily classes that include ballet, character, Classical Repertoire, modern, Flamenco, and Pilates will take dancers to new heights. Choose either the two-week session, or consider taking all four weeks at a discounted rate. Classes meet daily Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
