The University of Louisville football team opened practice to the public during the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Spring Game, held April 13 at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
The first team offense scored 34 points and the first team defense added six.
In the first quarter, the defense overwhelmed the first team offense. DeAngelo Brown, George Durant, Dominique Dishman, Brandon Dunn, Mike Addessa and Lorenzo Mauldin all recorded sacks in the first quarter. Dishman totaled a game-best three sacks.
Star quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and the first unit offense found a spark late in the first quarter and went on to score on their next four possessions. Bridgewater completed 16-of-20 passes for 214 yards and two scores for the game. Running back Dominique Brown finished with 79 yards on nine carries and two touchdowns. Freshman RB Brandon Radcliff added 56 yards on five touches.
Louisville will open its 2013 season against Ohio on Saturday, Aug. 31.
