Great Article!! The growth of girls lacrosse is just as fast, would love to see another story about that side of KLA. Wonder if the interest of the girls program would assist or hinder in the KHSAA Sanctioning (b/c Title IX)? Thanks for shining a light on an AWESOME sport.

idk about Todds comment either, volleyball? nonetheless this is a well written article, iv’e seen some of these guys play, and i guarantee they can play with some top notch players.

A percentage of schools have to offer the sport for the KHSAA to sanction it, There are not enough teams right now, but it is just a matter of time.

The article very informative, I didn’t realize that lacrosse had been gaining in popularity to the degree that it has. I am interested as to why KHSAA as not or does not want to sanction the sport in Kentucky.

Not sure about that Todd guy’s comment about volleyball being up and coming but nonetheless this article spoke to the inner child in me. I think im going to go hit up Dick’s right now and get my gear ready for the spring season. Couple of squat thrusts, diving stick swings, and squeezes of the my new Pumps and I’ll be back in action. A very nice piece, researched well. I like that it presents some of the sources of the sports growth in the city & a very discriptive preview for the upcoming season.
