LIT Championship: Trinity Vs. Ballard
Trinity defeated No. 1 seed Ballard 53-52 on a last-second free throw to win the 2013 Republic Bank Louisville Invitational Tournament (LIT) championship, held Jan. 19 at Valley High School.
Mr. Football and U.S. Army All-American Bowl MVP James Quick, of Trinity, sank the game-winning free throw, earning the L.J. “Butch” Charmoli MVP title following the game.
Quick scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds plus five steals to help Trinity achieve its second straight LIT championship and third in four years.
Kelan Martin led Ballard with 21 points and eight rebounds; Quentin Snider added 16 points and three steals.
