In order to reach the city's potential local leadership must address our city's unmarketable 1950s style elevated waterfront expressway. Should our leadership continue to ignore the conventional wisdom among urban planners, economic development experts, and today's highway engineers the economic consequences will be grave. The metaphorical rusty old car on blocks sitting on our front lawn threatens to pull the plug and reopen the brain drain.
