Best Buddies Champion Of The Year
Champion of the Year is a six-week fundraising competition benefiting Best Buddies Kentucky, an organization that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Kentucky. Participants compete to create awareness and fundraise to earn the title.
Candidates and the 2012 Champion of the Year, Amanda Mertz, were honored at an Awards Ceremony July 26 at the Marcus Lindsey.

Best Of Louisville Bash
Favorite local businesses and professionals were honored at the annual Best of Louisville Bash July 26 at Churchill Downs.
Citizens voted for their favorites in categories such as Best New Restaurant, Best Weathercaster, Best Tattoos, Best Karaoke and many more.

Cocktails & Costumes Through The Decades
Actors Theatre of Louisville held a “Cocktails & Costumes” party in its costume shop July 28 to raise money and awareness for the theater. Those attending the party, themed, “Through the Decades,” had the option to either wear clothing from their favorite time period or choose an outfit from the theater’s costume racks.
The event was hosted by the GO Board, a young professionals organization which offers networking and exclusive events for those interested in supporting Actors Theatre.

Lite 106.9 Rewind Prom
Attendees were dressed to impress at the Lite 106.9 Rewind Prom held July 27 at Kye’s. The 80s-themed evening included dancing, door prizes, games, a photo booth and music by Old School. To top off the night, the best-dressed male, female and couple were selected, and one lucky couple was crowned Prom King and Queen.
All the proceeds from the event will go toward providing essential medical rehabilitation for children with special needs at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Center/Easter Seals of Louisville.
