True Blue

| April 12, 2012

Louisville, KY – PNC Broadway in Louisville and the Louisville Visual Art Association’s Open Doors Program recently announced a partnership for the upcoming production of Blue Man Group, which plays The Kentucky Center April 10-15.

The partnership brings together Western Middle School students and artist Tara Remington, all of whom helped to create a 3-D mural installation at The Kentucky Center as a tribute to Blue Man Group. The mural, named “Project Blue Drum,” was installed the week of Feb. 27 outside of the center.

The project is made possible through the Open Doors program, which provides art enrichment experiences to communities with limited access to the visual arts. Students who participated in the project have spent many hours in the classroom and off-site, with integrated curriculum, creating the various elements that will make up the 3-D mural.
