Light Up Louisville

The 32nd Light Up Louisville, the city’s annual celebration to kick off the holiday season, presented a festival of lights between the Galt House and Fourth Street Live! on Nov. 23.

Light Up Louisville features light projections along Fourth Street as well as the traditional day-after-Thanksgiving celebration and flip-of-the-switch to illuminate downtown. This year’s festival introduced a new component called Forty Nights of Lights, a nightly light show set to music along Fourth Street.

Light Up Louisville and Forty Nights of Lights will end at midnight on New Year’s Eve with a light show and fireworks welcoming 2013.
