Fourth Annual Frankfort Avenue Jingle Walk

| December 22, 2011

Four years ago, Ashley Dunn gathered a dozen of her friends and led them in an evening of caroling down Frankfort Avenue. “I was trying to bring back an old-fashioned tradition of going Christmas caroling and being neighborly,” said Dunn. “Plus, it’s the element of surprise.”

The carolers serenaded homeowners and businesses lining the historic avenue. “The best was the woman in Volare who had tears streaming down her cheeks while we sung ‘O Holy Night,’” Dunn recalled.

This year’s event attracted more than 50 merry carolers. A good night was had by all — except the lone business that booted the revelers (bah, humbug) – and Dunn expects an even bigger turnout in 2012.
