Fincastle Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution Luncheon
The Fincastle Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, hosted a luncheon on Saturday, Sept. 10, to honor local historian and author Lynn Scholl Renau. Renau’s book “So Close from Home” tells the stories of the families who settled the Brownsboro Road area.
The luncheon also celebrated Constitution Week, the 224th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution of the U.S.A., and commemorated the tenth anniversary of 9/11. Major General Richard A. Huck, USMC Retired, spoke on the topic of “National Defense and Global Terrorism.”
