Just food, blankets, diapers, plastic ware, paper plates, and a showing of love that those of us delivering can convey on your behalf to the people in dire need. Help. Please. The best thing to do is show up and donate between the hours of 12 and 3 p.m. You can contact Managing Editor Angie Fenton on Facebook, Twitter, angie@voice-tribune.com or 502.551.2698. Our RV club, the Indiana Soul Journers, would like to provide water and serve hot dogs and chips in Henryville during dinner time. I called the Jeffersonville Red Cross and spoke to someone who took my number 21/2 hours ago stating that I would receive a call back. However, no one has called back yet. Angie, would you or anyone else reading this be able to give me some guidance to help us make this happen? Thank you.

        Jennifer

  • Katrina

Where can we go to help physically? Like picking up debris.

    • http://www.voice-tribune.com Editor

      Hi Katrine,

Unfortunately the best I can do is direct you to http://www.redcross.org/

      Thanks for asking though!

    What about the animals?

    • http://www.voice-tribune.com Editor

Try contacting http://www.kyhumane.org/ for information on any Humane Services in Henryville.

What if we do a collection of items, where would we send them? I am from West Grove PA.

How would our town go about helping the people of Henryville?

    • http://www.voice-tribune.com Editor

      Hi Renai,

Any out of town donations should go through http://www.redcross.org/

Unfortunately we can’t mobilize any out of town donations ourselves right now. Thank you for caring though!

Do you know who I would contact to inquire about school services? I have a teaching degree and I’m currently out of work. I would love to offer any help needed to Henryville classes as they begin again.

    Dear Angie/Editor,

I was so sad to read of the damage to Henryville and all the other areas damaged by the tornedos and other weather. It is unimaginable to us out in California.

I liked the action Angie and your paper were taking. Though I am a fan of the Red Cross, they always want money NOT donations of clothes, shoes, blankets, jackets, etc.

If I send a package to your address would it still get to Henryville, or have you made other arrangements?
