| October 19, 2011

The annual Anchorage Dog Show at the square in downtown Anchorage was held Sunday, Oct. 16, to benefit Bellewood Home for Children, which serves abused and homeless youth in Kentucky.

This year, 76 dogs competed for Best in Show, with awards presented to dogs in each of the event’s 10 competition classes, as well as honors for Best Dressed, Dog/Owner Look-alike and Mr./Miss Congeniality.

The event also featured a screening of Disney’s live-action “101 Dalmatians” on the lawn of the square.
