French Wine Academy

The Bristol Bar and Grille is offering a unique opportunity to learn about the wines of France in their four-week French Wine Academy, beginning Monday, March 4. The classes offer the official curriculum on French wine created by the French Wine Society and endorsed by the National French Wine Office. Instructor Scott Harper, corporate wine and beverage director at the Bristol, is a Master Sommelier, Certified Wine Educator and a licensed French Wine Academy instructor.

Participants will learn about the wine of Beaujolais, Bordeaux, Rhone and Burgundy and taste wines from the major regions of France in each class. Wine lovers and French enthusiasts alike are sure to be inspired.

The 4-week course is offered on Mondays, March 4 through 25, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bristol’s downtown location, 614 W. Main St. Cost is $159 per person or $299 per couple for registration before Feb. 25, after which the cost increases by $10. Materials are included. Participants must be at least 21 years of age.
