Can you explain the vineyard vines slogan?
Our slogan is: “Every day should feel this good.” Our brand represents the notion of the good life and how the products represent all the finer things in life, like the things our customers love to do and dream about doing.
Where does vineyard vines find inspiration for its different lines?
Our inspiration comes from the things we love to do and places we love to visit. Our Fall 2011 collection was inspired by Newport, R.I., and Vermont.
Can you share the history of vineyard vines?
In 1998, wanting to spend more time in their bathing suits than their business suits, brothers Shep and Ian Murray left their corporate jobs in New York City to pursue the American dream and founded vineyard vines on Martha’s Vineyard.
With no money and little experience, they set out to make ties that represented the finer places and things life has to offer. Today, they’re pleased to have expanded beyond the shores of the Vineyard and to offer much more than just ties, adding clothes, accessories and footwear to the mix.
Known as much for bold colors and signature whimsical prints as for their relaxed state of mind, vineyard vines is all about doing what you love and loving what you do. This philosophy has served them well for over 10 years, as they’ve remained committed to offering the best customer service possible and to their mission of making products for those who live the good life.
