Black Friday Special At Kentucky Humane Society

| November 20, 2012

Did you know that dark-colored pets spend about twice as long in shelters as light-colored pets? It’s called “Black Dog/Cat Syndrome.” To combat this and give black and mostly black-colored cats and dogs the opportunity to find loving homes faster, the Kentucky Humane Society is celebrating “Black Friday” on Nov. 23 with waived adoption fees for black and mostly-black cats and dogs 4 months and older.

All pets adopted from KHS have been spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, given a de-wormer and flea (and for dogs, heartworm) preventatives – services valued at nearly $250. In addition to receiving a $100 Feeders Supply coupon book, adopters also receive more than $100 in KHS pet care gift certificates for behavior training, Doggie Daycare, boarding and more.

For more information call 502.366.3355 or visit www.kyhumane.org to view pictures and profiles of all pets looking for homes at all KHS adoption sites. This adoption special is good at all nine permanent KHS adoption locations, including seven Feeders Supply stores. Adopters must pay any applicable licensing fees and a $20 microchip registration.
