What Is Your Fashion View?
I just like the basic look. I don’t try and do anything contemporary, but just focus on the classics … rather than mixing up colors. I just find it the more basic, the better.

How do you describe your style?
Derivative of the late ‘60s fashion, (specifically) the British rock movement of the late ‘60s, early ‘70s because that’s where (and when) I grew up.

What are your favorite pieces?
My Ralph Lauren navy blazer and my Alan Flusser flat-front tan pants.

Where is your favorite place to shop?
I never shop. I know exactly what I want and go and look for it. … I absolutely never shop. It’s (usually) going to be Macy’s, Dillard’s or Banana Republic, one of those places.

Who is your fashion icon?
The Kennedys, (specifically) JFK, and their vacation photos. They always had those iconic pictures – classic stylish.

You have a stylish bike, too! Is that a big part of your life?
I’ve always had a motorcycle, since I was 16. It’s always been a pleasure to me. (My bike now is) an iconic and vintage Japanese bike. … There’s a group in Louisville with vintage bikes who meet every Wednesday night at The Monkey Wrench on Barret Avenue. This one I’ve had since April last year; I built it. It’s a handcrafted bike (similar to the ones in) the late ‘60s, early ‘70s that were iconic in London, and it won best in class at the Carl Casper Custom Auto Show here in Louisville. I don’t think there’s another one like it.
