Fashion is a means to expressing a part of yourself, and is the first thing most people see about you. Whether you wear haute couture from the hands of Karl Lagerfeld, purchase ready-to-wear from Von Maur, or find that perfect piece through thrifting, fashion is for everyone if they want it.
How do you describe your style?Â
It’s hard to say. I try to aim for timeless if I can. To be honest, though, I’m very new to fashion overall, so I’m still discovering for myself what my style actually is, and may always will.
What are your favorite pieces?Â
My Coach Tour Top in navy that I recently purchased at ModCloth. It’s wonderful, and I plan to purchase the dress upon which the top is based soon as well, though it will be in purple.
Where is your favorite place to shop?Â
When I do shop, it’s usually online. So I visit places like ModCloth, Petit Bateau, Zappos et al.
Who is your fashion icon?
My fellow fashion bloggers are my fashion icon. They’ve always shown me what was possible for my own style.
Right now, I’m in the process of starting my own luxury clothing/jewelry boutique after my last employer filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy last August. I plan to open somewhere on Frankfort Avenue along the trolley line, but I’ll consider NuLu as well if they’ll have me. Also, I’m working on a documentary as an intern for WFPL that will air in August. The hour-long documentary is about Louisville’s LGBTQ community – of which I’m a part of (the T part, to be exact) – and their personal stories. Who knows; I may be interviewed myself. We shall see.
