Morning's at Seven
Event Link
The Little Colonel Players present Morning’s at Seven, Paul Osborn’s snapshot of small town family life. Opening night dinner theatre is September 9, with additional performances running September 10, 11, 12, 17, and 18 at 8PM and September 12 and 19 at 2:30 pm.
This seemingly idyllic snapshot of Midwest America premiered on Broadway in 1939, and enjoyed successful revivals in 1980 and 2002. With endearing characters, Osborn shines a light on the mix of affection and resentment that builds when siblings and their spouses are bound together by family and the intimacy of living close by each other. The four aging Gibbs sisters – Esther, Cora, Ida and Aaronetta - (three married, one spinster) pop in and out of each other’s lives and mind each other’s business, making for a delightful and often revealing portrait of extended family, where perhaps all is not so right with the world. Sharon Sommermeyer directs little Colonel’s production.

Tickets: $12-15/person, Dinner: $18
