Veterans Day Parade
On Nov. 11, Louisvillians gathered to celebrate the city’s veterans as military bands, active and retired veterans organizations, restored military vehicles, re-enactors and service organizations participated in Louisville’s Veterans Day Parade downtown. The parade was led by a Joint Services Color Guard which included members of all five branches of the armed services.
C-130 planes from the Kentucky Air National Guard signalled the beginning of the event with a flyover, and those watching the parade enjoyed a special musical program. The day’s festivities were presented by UAW Local 862 and Ford Motor Co.
