The Louisville Polar Plunge

| February 28, 2013

Hundreds of brave individuals leaped off the dock near Tumbleweed on the Waterfront Feb. 23 to support the Louisville Polar Plunge benefiting Special Olympics.

The annual fundraiser celebrated its 15th anniversary in the city with hot chocolate and Krispy Kreme donuts, food and dance music.

The Louisville Polar Plunge is one of six plunges held in Kentucky in 2013. The Polar Plunge is one of the biggest Special Olympics fundraisers and has raised more than $5 million to support Special Olympics athletes over the last 14 years.
