The Intergenerational Interfaith Model Seder was held March 20 at the Jewish Community Center’s Patio Gallery.
Cantor David Lipp led a congregation through Haggadah, which is the story of the Exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt. The Interfaith Intergenerational Model Seder has been a long-standing program at the JCC.
For the 2013 event, 25 Hebrew school students joined Lipp from Adath Jeshurun Synagogue and more than 50 seniors of different faiths and backgrounds for the reading of the Haggadah, followed by a full-course dinner.
In 2008, the program was specifically dedicated to the memory of treasured member Judith Bensinger. Major Michael Hawley, local area commander of the Salvation Army, attended as a special guest.
