The GRRAND Affair

| November 15, 2012

The Golden Retriever Rescue & Adoption of Needy Dogs Inc. (GRRAND) celebrated 16 years of service in the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of Golden Retrievers throughout the Louisville, Lexington, Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio areas.

To honor the landmark, on Nov. 9, GRRAND’s largest fundraiser, the GRRAND Affair, was held at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center.

The event featured a raffle, silent auction, live auction hosted by WAVE 3-TV personality Dawne Gee, a ’50s jukebox, complimentary beer and wine, and a cocktail buffet provided by The Cheddar Box and White Castle, as well as gourmet desserts from The Upper Crust. GRRAND Affair attendees were also granted a new opportunity to support GRRAND’s work through the Save A Golden Program.

This year’s presenting sponsor was the Sam Swope Auto Group and spokesperson Patti Swope.
