South Fourth Street hosted an exclusive VIP opening and shopping event on April 11, offering a first look at the new retail district springing up in Downtown Louisville.
The event included food, prizes and swag bags to the first 100 people in attendance. On April 15, a block party for the general public was also held, where Mayor Greg Fischer conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony in front of the new retail stores along the 500 and 600 blocks of South Fourth Street. The block party offered entertainment from King Sonic, food specials, contests, an appearance by Lite 106.9 Midday Host Vicki Rogers and an opportunity to shop and preview the new boutiques on Fourth Street, including Art Eatables, Block Party Handmade Boutique, Celebrations, The Leading Man, Les Filles Louisville and Regalo. Opening later in the summer is Craft(s) and Gifthorse.
