Second Annual K9 Care Montana Fundraiser
A fundraising event to raise money for Louisville Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT), the Montana experience and K9 Care Montana’s service dog program was held June 23 at Buckhead On The River.
K9 Care Montana allows children with autism to participate in outdoor activities such as gemming for stones, fishing, campfires and exploring an area near Philipsburg, Mont. that was featured on the “Today” show as one of the greatest small towns and “the last best place” in America. The incorporation of K9 Care service/therapy dogs makes this a unique program which demonstrates the numerous benefits that therapy dogs can provide for children and families facing autism.
