The Sam Swope Auto Group 60th Celebration
The Sam Swope Auto Group celebrated its 60th anniversary at the Lexus of Louisville dealership on Jan. 13 with family, friends and many loyal customers.
Founder and Chairman of the Board, Sam Swope, announced his retirement the same day. Executive Vice President for Business Development Patti Swope will succeed her father as Chairman of the Board, with Richard S. “Dick” Swope serving as President and CEO.
Terry Meiners emceed the celebration, which was attended by a large crowd of friends, fans and customers. The Voice-Tribune’s Angie Fenton hosted the red carpet, where guests shared well-wishes and fond memories about the Swopes – particularly Sam – on video broadcast during the event.
