Marie Dietrich Cassady’s 100th Birthday Party

| December 13, 2012

Friends and family members of Marie Dietrich Cassady traveled from all over the country to celebrate her 100th birthday at Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Church on Dec. 8.

Ms. Cassady was born on Dec. 9, 1912 in Louisville, and has lived most of her life in St. Matthews. She enjoys singing in her church choir, but her passion in life is folk dancing. She started the first international dance club in Louisville, and has dedicated her life to teaching and preserving the ethnic dances of all cultures.

Guests at the milestone birthday party enjoyed food, wine, music and of course, folk dancing!
