LVAA’s BY-BUY-BYE Art Sale

| April 25, 2013

The Louisville Visual Art Association (LVAA) hosted its first ever BY-BUY-BYE Art Sale April 13 at PUBLIC, LVAA’s new art gallery on Whiskey Row.

LVAA recruited local artists to create original works of art on 8-inch by 8-inch framed canvasses and offered 200 of their pieces at $100 each in the public sale. The BY-BUY-BYE Art Auction followed the art sale. On April 12, a BY-BUY-BYE artists party was held at PUBLIC as well.

One hundred percent of the BY-BUY-BYE proceeds will provide scholarships for students in the Children’s Fine Art Classes program at LVAA and the UofL Hite Art Institute’s Mary Spencer Nay Memorial Scholarship program.

Look like I got caught. It was a entertaining LVAA event and the food was good. Glad to hear they raised a lot of money for kid’s art programs.
