Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame
Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana held its Business Hall of Fame on Feb. 28 at the Kentucky International Convention Center.

- Jack Guthrie, Mary Schneider Moseley and Max Shapira were recognized for their contributions to Louisville’s economic development and social welfare.

- Andy Strausbaugh, vice president at Norton Healthcare Brownsboro East; Shelley Gast, assistant director of managed care at Norton Healthcare; and Adam Kempf, vice president of finance for Norton Healthcare.

- Debra Hoffer, president of Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana, with Roger Shannon, CFO for Steel Technologies, and Carol Shannon.

- Louis Straub, banking officer for Chase Bank; Jonathan Blue, chairman of Blue Equity; Tracy Blue, publisher of The Voice-Tribune; and Steve Cooper, senior vice president of Chase Bank.

- James R. Allen, chairman of Hilliard Lyons, presented a laureate award to John R. “Jack” Guthrie, recognized for his professional success and community involvement.

- Max L. Shapira received a Pyramid award for his leadership in the development of Heaven Hill Distilleries, his service for the Bernheim Foundation and the Kentucky Distillers Association, and for the boards of National Bank/Bank One and Wilson & Muir Bancorp.

- Ken Porco accepted a Pyramid Award on behalf of his former UofL football teammate, the late Leonard “Lynny” Lyles. Lyles was a pro football player, was active with the Louisville Urban League and helped launch Louisville’s Project One. He served on a number of boards, including the UofL Board of Overseers.

- Kevin Ludwig, Anne Woods, Kevin Barry, Warren Johnson and Greg Hayden, all with Kindred Healthcare. Kevin and Warren are internal auditors, Ann is vice president of internal audits and Greg is director of state tax.

- Nathan Holladay, who is with Fifth Third; Greg Greenwood, a tax partner with Ernst & Young; and Chris Reid, a partner at Ernst & Young.

- John Marshall, who is with US Voice & Data, Architects of Telefficiency, and Steve Feller, vice president of sales for Heaven Hill Distilleries.

- Mary Schneider Moseley, honored for her contributions to downtown Louisville and her community service, was presented a laureate award by Jim Allen.
