Ironman Louisville
Nearly 3,000 men and women, representing 49 states and 25 countries, raced through above-90-degree temperatures in the sixth Ironman Louisville, which featured a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run.
Patrick Evoe of Texas won the overall competition with a time of 8 hours, 42 minutes, while Bree Wee of Hawaii crossed the finish line in 9 hours, 36 minutes to place first amongst the women. It was both Evoe and Wee’s first Ironman titles. Mike Hermanson of Louisville finished eighth overall.

- Just after crossing the Finish Line, Matthew Coleman got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Cecelia Davis. Both are from Philadelphia, PA.

- Hannah Deaton, Rachel Mellencamp and Tara Johnson.
- #32 Terra Castro of Arlington, Virginia finished 3rd. Just after crossing the finish line, she hugged her grandmother Ruth Olsen, and gave her Ironman Medal to her grandfather Bill Olsen.
- Victoria and Lana Kemezy, of Muncie, Indiana.
- 1st Place Finisher of Kona, Hawaii, #29 Bree Wee with her son Kainoa Wee.
