Humana Festival of New American Plays Cocktail Party

| April 6, 2011

Actors Theatre of Louisville closed out its 47th season lineup this past weekend with the 35th annual Humana Festival of New American Plays, known as the nation’s leading opportunity to see groundbreaking works by the best writers from across the country.
More than 400 Humana Festival plays have been produced during its 35 years, representing the work of more than 200 playwrights in formats including full-length, one-act, monologues, phone plays and car plays.

Always an exhilarating experience, closing weekend of the festival is a fast-paced, marathon of world premiere plays and networking, attended by press and producers, directors and casting agents. These industry professionals and their guests enjoy three days of distinctive panels, interesting, thought-provoking new works and last, but certainly not least, fabulous cocktail gatherings at Louisville homes.

Jennifer and Jonathan Blum, senior vice president of Yum! Brands, hosted a spectacular soiree at their beautiful Anchorage home on March 31. The gathering was a chance for Louisvillians and theater fans to welcome guests from across the country and around the world with a special touch of Southern hospitality. Many of the industry elite were in attendance to toast the Humana Festival.
