Ford Ironman Louisville
The 2011 Ford Ironman Louisville triathlon was held Sunday, Aug. 28.
More than 2,400 participants competed in the race, which included a 2.4-mile swim in the Ohio River, followed by a 112-mile bike ride and a 26.2-mile run.
Australian Chris McDonald won with an overall time of 8:27:36, while Nina Kraft of Germany won the women’s race with an overall time of 9:38:14. Both finishers won the Ironman for their second time.
