Dart Competition at Drake’s
Drake’s St. Matthews hosted a charity dart-throwing competition on May 24 with local notables competing for a chance to win $1,000 for their respective charities if they hit the board at least once in three tries. The high scorer’s award? A bonus throw for a chance to win up $100,000 if he – or she – hit the bullseye.
All of the contestants earned at least $1,000 for their chosen charities, which are listed below:
- Denny Crum, former UofL men’s basketball coach and co-host of the Clear Channel “Joe B. and Denny Show” – Denny Crum Scholarship Foundation.
- Drew Deener, host of the “Early Birds Show” on WKRD and the TV play-by-play voice of the Louisville Cardinals on WHAS11 – Kentuckiana Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
- Elizabeth Donatelli, reporter for WAVE 3 – Maryhurst.
- Scott Davenport, Bellarmine University men’s basketball coach – The Norton Health Care Foundation’s Young Breast Cancer Survivors.
- Matt Hobbs, sports director at WHAS 11 – March of Dimes.
- Terry Meiners, 84WHAS talk show host – WHAS Crusade for Children (the 58th annual Crusade airs June 4-5 on WHAS11)
- Scott Reynolds, anchor for WAVE 3 – Barren Heights Christian Retreat Center.
- Kelsey Starks, anchor for WHAS11 – Mary Byron Project.
- Elizabeth Woolsey, anchor for WDRB – USA Cares, Inc.
