Celebrate Freedom Dinner
The Healing Place hosted an emotionally charged presentation during the Celebrate Freedom Dinner on March 2 at The Louisville Marriott Downtown.
Members of The Healing Place, a homeless shelter and long-term recovery program, shared stories of resilience before actress Ashley Judd spoke to the crowd.
Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz gave the invocation at the event, while Clear Channel and WHAS radio and TV personality Terry Meiners emceed a live auction that featured Churchill Downs Premium Interior Box seats, a guided deer hunt for two, tickets to UofL and UK games, a stay at 21c Museum Hotel and travel packages to Colorado, Florida and Ficulle, Italy.
