African American Art Exhibition Reception And Awards Ceremony
Actors Theatre of Louisville hosted the 19th annual African American Art Exhibition Reception and Awards Ceremony on Feb. 1.
The free event featured light appetizers from Mayan Cafe, entertainment by the Ron Jones Quartet and the presentation of merit awards to selected artists chosen by juror Kevin Cole, a nationally-renowned artist.
The African American Art Exhibition celebrates African American history, culture and art. The exhibition will be on display at the Gallery at Actors through Feb. 17 and will showcase the work of 22 local and national artists. The gallery is open from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; or by appointment with Roanne Victor, 502.584.1265.
