2013 DanceBlue in the Lou
Gerstle’s Place, located off Frankfort Avenue, hosted the 2013 DanceBlue in the Lou on Feb. 12 to help support the fight against pediatric cancer.
DanceBlue is a student-run philanthropy at the University of Kentucky. It is a year-long fundraising effort involving thousands of UK students, culminating in a 24-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon on UK’s campus. All of the money raised by DanceBlue goes to the Golden Matrix Fund, an organization created to benefit the University of Kentucky Pediatric Oncology Clinic’s patients and families.
