Special Olympics Kentucky State Bowling Tournament
The Special Olympics Kentucky State Bowling Tournament took place Nov. 30 through Dec. 2 at Fern Valley Strike and Spare and King Pin Lanes in Louisville.
Nearly 1,300 participants competed in the event. The state bowling tournament is the largest single-sport event on the Special Olympics Kentucky calendar and is the second largest event of the year, behind only the State Summer Games.
In addition to bowling, the athletes enjoyed the annual Victory Dance on Saturday night at the Ramada Plaza Pavilion on Hurstbourne Lane. The Victory Dance included the announcement of the 2012 Special Olympics Kentucky Athlete and Coach of the Year.
