BD2012 Rehearsal

Late into the night Friday, Aug. 24, the hardworking BD team and everyone instrumental in the elegant affair took part in a final dress rehearsal to prepare for the main event. Under the creative direction of Douglas Riddle, models strutted their stuff on the newly-built runway, as chairs were still being placed alongside it!

Louisville Ballet dancers Annie Honebrink and Ben Needham-Wood perfected the steps of their romantic pas de deux, “Saudade Amore,” in anticipation of the following evening’s riveted audience. A sense of excitement permeated the final night before Louisville’s premiere fashion show.

Best Dressed After-Party

The winners of Best Dressed 2012 may have been crowned in the finale of the elegant event, but the party was far from over.

Everyone from nominees to runway models made their way down the street to St. Charles Exchange to continue the night at the official Best Dressed after-party. Formal finery fit right in at the upscale bar, where guests could purchase swanky cocktails and get down in the courtyard to the sounds of DJ Jaybird’s dance mixes.
