Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame
The 2012 Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame was held on June 7 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

- Rick Robey, 2012 Hall of Fame inductee and basketball star at UK. Robey played eight seasons with the Pacers, the Celtics and the Phoenix Suns.
- Jim Ellis presented Angel McCoughtry with her Hall of Fame award. Angel is the first female basketball player at UofL to have her jersey retired.
- Homer Rice, retired athletic director at Georgia Tech, former offensive coordinator at UK, former head coach at the University of Cincinnati and former coach of the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals. Rice was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame.
- Jim Ellis, president of the Athletic Hall of Fame, and Bobby Watson, inductee into the Hall of Fame.
- Lee Corso, Hall of Fame inductee, who is a commentator for ESPN and a former football coach at UofL and IU.
- President of Claiborne Farm Seth Hancock, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.
- Churchill Downs was inducted into the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame. Kevin Flanery, president of Churchill Downs Racetrack, accepted the award on behalf of Churchill Downs.
- Hugh Durham, star athlete at Eastern High School and basketball coach at the University of Georgia.
- Standing, Cynthia Collier, and Elizabeth Collier McGehee and Rebecca Collier.
- Jeff Van Note, who played defensive end for UK, and went on to play 18 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, and Wally Oyler, who played football for UofL and coached at Male High School.
- Vicky Weber, who is with Kosair Charities, Debbie and Tim Conder, Joe Dever, Joe McKune, Alan and Jane Hennessey, all with Insuramax, and Coach Walt Smith.
- The 1951 National Championship Basketball team with Coach Adolph Rupp.
- DeLynn Stallings and Rita Smith.
- Randy Coe, president of Kosair Charities, and Theresa Raidy.
- Dick Gabriel, UK broadcaster, and Karl Schmitt, executive director of the Louisville Sports Commission.
- UofL Athletic Director Tom Jurich and his wife, Terrilynn Jurich.
- From left, Bill and Sharon Olson, and Bill Malone. Olson is a retired athletic director at UofL. Malone is the long-time treasurer of the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame.
